We collect a variety of information from visitors to the Site, some of which may be Confidential Information.
By visiting the Site, engaging in the community it facilitates, using any of the Service Suite or otherwise providing us with your personal information (or authorising it to be provided to us by someone else), you agree to your personal information being handled as set out in this policy.
Like most Site operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Coalfacer also collects potentially personal information like IP Addresses for logged in Users. We only disclose logged in User IP Addresses under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personal information as described below.
In certain circumstances we may be required or permitted by law, court or tribunal order or requested by a regulator to collect certain personal information about you.
Visitors to the Site choose to interact with Coalfacer in ways that require us to collect personal information. The amount and type of information that we collect depends on the nature of the interaction. We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:
In each case, Coalfacer collects such information to the extent that we think it is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the your interaction with us or to personalise your experience on the Site. Coalfacer does not disclose personal information other than as described in this policy. You can always refuse to supply personal information, but if you do that, we may not be able to support your engagement in certain aspects of the Site. Some of the services available through the Site cannot be provided without your personal information.
You consent to Coalfacer posting, distributing and using any photographs, images, videos or other content and/or personal information you might upload on the Site or have otherwise provided consent to publish on the Site, blog, in our marketing collateral or social media channels, which we may use in order to provide our Service Suite, the marketing of our Service Suite or for the purpose of our functions and/or activities. Examples include sharing your videos on our public or semi-public channels or tweeting about your involvement in our community. You can restrict the level of disclosure to which you consent in the settings function of the Site. Unless you do so, you consent to all such activities.
You must not provide us with the personal information about another person unless you have first obtained that person’s prior consent to do so and you have told them their personal information will be provided to us an handled in accordance with this policy.
We collect your personal information in order that you may derive benefit through participating in our community and accessing the Site and Service Suite.

Payment processors and related compliance services may also receive some of your personal information.
Certain information will be disclosed to other Users and Organisations to allow them to determine which whether a project collaboration or other related engagement might be of interest. Contact details will be shared between members only with your consent, or where you have taken steps after expressing interest in an engagement.
If Coalfacer, or substantially all of its assets, were subject to a change of Control, whether by business or asset sale, or in the event that we go out of business or suffer an insolvency event, User information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party (including any administrator appointed in connection therewith). You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Coalfacer (or its assets) may continue to use your personal information as set out in this policy.
The Site may contain links to other the websites. If you click on such links, you will be transferred to the website of these entities. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of third parties. You should read the privacy policy of other websites or entities to find out how they handle your personal information when you visit their websites.

While we do not charge you for a request for accessing your personal information you should be aware that we may charge a reasonable fee (which will be notified to you once you make a request) for time and cost if an extended amount of time is required to collate and prepare material for you; and if extensive scanning or copying is involved.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, we also rely on you to advise us of any changes to your personal information by maintaining and updating your profile.
